What is Paint Correction?
Paint correction is a simple defect removal process we perform on every vehicle before applying a ceramic coating. Since ceramic coatings are a form of permanent paint correction, we need to ensure that the surface is as scratch free as possible so that the nano ceramic coating can bond properly to the car paint. So paint correction is the process of removing minor scratches and imperfections found in the vehicle's clear coat. We offer two types of paint correction here at quality car detailing.
One stage paint correction is a single step buffing process. Here we use one cutting compound and one finishing buffing pad. This type of paint correction is intended to remove swirl marks, light scratches and improve the gloss of the exterior paint.
Two stage paint correction is a two-step buffing process. Here we use two different polishes a heavy cutting one and a finer polish to bring back that beautiful gloss to the exterior paint.

How much money should you spend on paint correction, and how much does paint correction cost? So the price of paint correction depends mostly on the condition of the paint along with the size of the vehicle. If your paint has a ton of swirls, surfaces scratches and fading you are most likely going to need a 2 step paint correction. If your vehicle has light swirls and minor surface scratches a 1 step correction might be a better fit. In our area paint correction can range anywhere from- One Step Corrections range from $500.00 to $800.00
- Two Step Corrections range from $800.00 to $1,200.00
It's Important to keep in mind.... these are average paint correction prices in our area and like we said, one of our favorite parts of the job is working with our customers 1 on 1 to find exactly what works for them.
